Artist Talk with Eric Celarier at MPA

Friday, February 21 at 7 PM

McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) will present a talk by exhibiting artist Eric Celarier.  This presentation will cover artists who use trash to touch on subjects as far ranging as globalization, environmentalism, consumerism, classicism and colonialism.

MPA Workshop for ages 9 -14 with artist Eric Celarier: Anatsui and Reuse Art 
McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) presents a special opportunity for young people to work with exhibiting artist, Eric Celarier. During this fun and creative workshop,  9 - 14 year olds will create a woven piece from waste materials, similar to the work of well-known African artist El Anatsui.

MPA is a non-profit visual arts center founded in 1962 to exhibit the work of emerging and established regional artists.  In addition to its program of high quality, professionally-curated art exhibitions, MPA offers art classes for children and adults taught by professional art instructors.  MPA also presents the Art Reach program for area schools, gallery talks, and day trips to area museums and galleries.
